Note

Fuelling: Breakfast/pre run - fine. But as started run later than I had wanted, had a handful of fruit and nuts before run as was hungry, disappointed as defeats the object really. Nonetheless, fuelled after 2:15 hours, 120 cal every half an hour. Used naked bars, but, after three, needed savoury. work in progress.

A bit of a contrived run, however the weather was bad and needed to stay relatively low, so ended up doing x4 reps on Conic Hill, Scotland. Each rep 5 miles. The ascent, terrain, and time lapse all suited the purpose of the session. Legs felt great, felt strong, although tired by the last rep, thats when the hard work started, pushed through it. Pleased with the session.

Somewhat shy of the 1000m i was hoping to get for the session. Pushed with a focus on pole work towards the summit as snow was calf deep in places, making it impossible to run. Stuggled finding the path off the summit to avoid going back down the ascent path, with hindsite would have been the better descent as it was a massive scramble in places to get off the hill on the none tourist path off. Legs felt great, no tiredness.

Moderate runs (total) each side of hill session. Slow to warm up, however following the hill reps i was fired up and the effort level went up a notch, stopped watching the numbers and ran to feel, in terms of, sat right on the edge of moderate that I could sustain, any faster would have turned into a sprint session, so was careful to make sure I could sustain the effort for the three miles home. Felt great.

x6 x12" First couple were conservative, however really pushed the last four. Driving arms, high knees, explosive and well, legs buckling on the last few steps, amazing session, pushed to just outside my comfort level right at the end of each of the last four reps.

Felt mildly wobbly in posteria chain for a few mins following the hill reps on the run home, soon settled.

x4. Reps felt good, form started to go after third set, however picked it back up with focused effort for last set. Felt good to have finished pretty strong given i'd started to get tired. Great session.

Easy run, felt like I was running 11min miles yet it was average 9 ish, so had been moving better than I had felt. Likely due to feeling tired through little sleep. Legs feeling ok.

No rest all day at work, therefore continued to feel tired during run home. Legs felt good after about 10 mins. Otherwise, no issues.
