puhhh! that was the "longjog" today. the word LONG got a new meaning for me...! i felt better than yesterday and my arms made it about 3h30 but then i was completely fucked. i was at home with 3:47 but i wanted the 4 hours and so i did one more little lap. while doing so i wanted to shoot myself for not staying at the cabin! ;) anyways, i did it and now i'm proud! :D

this was the first tour on the skis. i was pretty exhausted in the end and it was very cold and there was also a lot of wind. we ran from bruksvallarna to klinken. going there took us 1:47... from there back only about 1:05! that was really tough!

it was the first race of the Trondheim Winter Challenge 2007. it was a sprint and i took it pretty easy! was really fun. some smaller mistakes but was ok!

I think they put out the times from control 7 to 9 because control 8 was missing!

As i said I started pretty easy. Had a short stop to the first control because I expected the control in the park but it was hung behind it on a single tree. The route to the 2nd was also not the best...! Too many curves i think and again a short stop because i couldnt see the control! :X 3 to 6 were ok. To the 7th i had a little extra loop because the walkthrough there was very very small so i missed that one. 8, 9 and 10 were ok. To the 11th my only real mistake. I had the map wrong in my hands and i couldn see the control. there was also another guy who deflected me a bit. 12 and finish - no prob!

today was the 3000m testrun. i made it in 9:59. i have to be satisfied with it because the goal was to run under 10. on the other hand i expected more. maybe the games and the strength training yesterday in the evening wasnt the best preparation...! i also was out yesterday and got to sleep at 02:30...! maybe these are just excuses for myself because i'm a bit disappointment but we still have winter so there is enough time left to improve and i hope i will do so!

Today I was out the first time in Norway to do some XC skiing. I really liked it my I had completely the wrong wax so it wasn't that funny and it got pretty tough. It was a good strength workout for the upper body! ;)

now i've finished the 3rd week and i'm looking forward for the rest week. i trained about 16, 14 and 15 hours the last week. the should be enough for a solid basis. i also think i got a pretty good basis i just have to work on my speed!!

today i did my first intervals in norway. 6x8 minutes trough the forest. sometimes we used some pathes and also some open area like fields. the first 3 intervals i was able to run with the pack. at the start of the 4th was a hill we had to climb. i couldn't make it with them up there and so i had to wait a bit to get some light again. i had no light. as you can imagine thats pretty funny... running intervals in the dark trough a forest without light! i made it and i am NOT injured! :D

anyways, it looks like it was a completely new thing for my body and muscles and i'm absolutely dead now. i had no more power, i got blisters, i had no light, my stomach has seen better times and on the way home my nose began to bleed.

arriving at home i ate almost everything i had there watched a movie and no get some sleep. i hope i feel better tomorrow! phew... what a day. the norwegians run like hell!!!

had a great run long run today. met with some guys from ntnui and headed out for a longjog. i ended up with gerrit running around. she's a girl from germany and we had a relly nice talk - in english! we wanted to meet the boys with lars and hannes but werent able to do so. so just the two of us running around. was a great trail, a lot of people out there. i have to carry along the camera the next time. also running back to the semi-frozen swamps was great. i had to pull my feet sometimes out of the swamp. the was cold. *brrrrr*

i ran around the lake with wati today to do some intervals. planned was 6 x 7min. i just did 4 x 7 than. i was just empty. the 4x7 are logged extra - the 2 x 5 minutes i did afterwards at just a bit a faster pace are included here as well as the warm up and cool down and also the 2 min jog recoveries between the intervals.
