ahr:158 max:183 shoes: Inov8 RocLite 305

Collecting controls from yesterdays coaching sessions on Muriwai. Felt pretty good, toe didn't really bother me unless it got bent up.

Note

Pain, oh glorious pain (the good kind from use rather than abuse)

Other (Tennis and Hockey) 1:00:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Kayano XI

Tennis and hockey at Neils. Not too sure abot time but that seems about right. Felt good running around and toe didn't even hurt apart from a couple of sliding stops on that side, almost did my left knee with a slight hyperflex on the slippery moss in the corner feel bloody luck it wasn't worse.

Rd Cycling 34:00 [3] 13.6 km (24.0 kph) +145m
ahr:166 max:196 shoes: Specilized Allez 06

Went outside for a road ride, first time in ages. Did the loop round Rosedale and up to East Coast Bays Rd and home. Blew like hell going to ECBrd, was a bit chilly as well but ok, didn't even feel toe but legs, lungs, heart hurt like crap. Was a bit faster than I thought I would be on that loop, should have done more but couldn't

Note

Went and helped Neil out on the farm, got up so early that I forgot my bike even tho I had packed all my gears, got home and was going to do some wind trainer but toe was sore from walking around in gumboots and hurt like hell when I put it in my bike shoes.

Run!!! thats right run, well it was more of a jog, with a very soft j. Went for a test in the redwoods, didn't feel good but didn't feel to bad either, did 5 mins walking in middle, toe hurt doing that, didn't really jogging. Calfs and achilles bloody tight.

Rd Cycling (Wind Trainer) 40:00 [3]
ahr:158 max:170 shoes: Specilized Allez 06

40 mins on the wind trainer, yeah thats right 2 days in a row. Harder gear, got a good sweat on

Note

Had physio today, he cant believe how stuffed up and knotted my calves are for not having done anything. Need to get some more stretching going.

Rd Cycling (wind trainer) 30:00 [2]
ahr:152 max:167 shoes: Specilized Allez 06

Just a quick spin on the wind trainer to see how the body was feeling. Toe seems ok now, still a bit sore with a large amount of pressure and still coughing a bit. HR was a bit high for a easy spin probably due to the fact that I'm as fit as a 100 year old corpse.

Note
(sick)

Been as sick as a dog with flu, started coming on Sat night and from then it was all downhill, I cant ever remember having a flu this bad, no sleep just hallucinations for 3 nights, massive headaches, buckets of snot and what ever I would take didn't help anything. Claire was trying to say I was a wuss, now she has it, apparently I am not a wuss.

Feeling like a million dollars today in comparison only have a cough which has a slight rattle to it but nothing major is coming up.
