Paddling 2:30:00 [3]

Killarney backcountry with Bash, Bent and Etoile.

Carlyle to Norway and back with a trek to the Crack on the ‘rest day’. Great fun and kudos to the “Queen of Norway” for making the black flies tolerable.

I’m super proud of Etpile for trekking 14km on the rugged LaCloche trail. She was a rockStarr.

Killarney is my fave place in Canada and it did not disappoint. With the park only a 1h 45m drive from the Waddtage we need to visit more often.

Thanks Bash and Bent for the invite.

Trekking 1:00:00 [3]

Henvey! I forgot how hot it is to wear a hard hat, hi vis vest and steel toed boots on a hot day. Plus no shade in the burned area. burned through my water way too quick for today’s 13 hour work day. but so fun to be back here (and it pays the outdoor gear bills). Nailed the nav to a site i hadn’t visited since before the fire. Woohoo.

Orthotics in the boots helped but still tough day on the knee taking down two met stations and repurposing. It was easier carrying this gear before having to do wicked gymnastic moves over the fallen burned trees.
