NORT Stage 2. 41st place, 4,10 behind
Pretty decent race from my point of view. No big misses, a bit of uncertainty in a couple of places but pretty happy with my performance. Position reflects the fact that it was really packed in and I am just at the back at the moment (1 minute faster and I would have been 27th). I also ran a 3rd fastest split on an actual forest leg so there is some progress, just more consistency required.

Well... basically I messed up the third control (quite a lot). I would love to blame the map but unfortunately it wasn't his fault. I took the wrong routechoice initially and was trying to find a gap between two taped off impassable cliffs. I looked up, saw the end of the tapes and ran to it, only to find much bigger cliffs. Turned out I had missed the gap. Luckily I did not try out my mountaineering skills, turned back and found the correct route. Lost 50 seconds approximately which put me in sight of man of the moment Chris. He reeled me in over the next few controls and we basically ran together until he pulled away at the end.

I am of course disappointed with myself but I know that my speed is approximately good enough to get the results I want so that is a positive. I am also going to take as much credit as possible for helping Chris out :)

Did an alright job with this today, maybe cut it a little bit fine timewise (for the start) but was ok I felt.
