Up to Coronation Hill and The Sign of The Kiwi with BenR late on. Sunny but hazy. Great playground.

Warm up through Hagley Park to parkrun start. With T. 5 degrees level of nippy. Unseasonally so. Low sun as starts at 0800 in NZ.

Hagley Park parkrun. Chose to do this as part of jetlag recovery plan. 22 hours after stepping off the flight.

Felt very stodgy at start and first km very slow and didn't really get much quicker. About 300+ out. Flat and tarmac mostly. Overtaken by the first buggy late on.

Nice catch up with SandyR at the finish. Visiting offspring in CCh.

Coffee and large muffin at botanics cafe after. Cold early on with breezy southerly but nice in the bright sun.

Raised the heart rate a wee bit and loosened things up in between two long flights.

Dipped out of Run Club with sore calves. Thanks KH, CB and WB for keeping the show on the road today.
But…appears to be caused again by poor hydration. Sore left calf and occasional short stabbing pain in right achilles.
Much better this afternoon.

Faffing about at #5 (+1 mins) looking for a small boulder in bracken.
Looking for 17 (+2-3) when I should have been looking for 12...two crags 80m apart, whoops...
Sore left calf again.
Enjoyable day - running ok apart from the tender calf.
