Good race time wise...beat my old course record by 16min or so...(org timing had issues, but my watch timed 3:53)
Body was good physically, but stomach and gear had issues...I had an upset stomach last night before going to bed, and it wasn't solid at the start of the race...I delt with it early on - but it haunted me in the latter part of the race - HR dropped considerably by the end.

Gear was good except for that my HR monitor strap chafed my back (from pack) and my Exo short tight liner chafed my inner 'region'...Going to have to deal with this in the next couple of weeks - the gear that is.
Plan was to run around 4hrs, and not 'kill' myself before DR - Maybe went a bit too fast off the start to chase TM (who set a new course record at 3:37!!), but such is life...I pulled back the reins after the first few climbs to bring down HR to more controlled 160ish range.
Was 6min down at 25km mark, and then stomach issues started getting the best of me...pitstop became necessary. Slowed and stopped to deal chaffing issues as well.
Overall, not great, but certainly not bad. I'm happy with speed and how body took the 4,000m of elev change - Aside from left knee cap being a bit tender, the achilles held up, and the quads are too bad either.
Only 80km more and 3,000m of gain to go...ugh-
