Body felt better than expected - still a big sluggish from the weekend, but overall, happy with the speedy recovery...
Used poles to get a 'handle' on the feeling again - I haven't run much with them this year, but figured it would be good to get some time with them. I use some older Swix CT2, cut about 125cm in length - I switched the straps to the old school loop ones (lighter), and trimmed the ski baskets leaving only the carbide tip (rollerski tips work well too)

Easy run warmup/down at Canmore Nordic Centre - lots of action with 24hr of Adrenaline coming up on the weekend.
Figured I'd test out some new shoes today, and ran with XAPro 5, which offer a softer sole than the XAPro 3D - The fit was quite good in the heel and midfoot. The toe box is quite roomy for my narrow feet, but I wasn't floating too much - then again, the run was pretty tame in term of technical terrain.
