Park Run (Callaghan - div 2) 49:49 [3] 5.0 km (9:58 / km)
shoes: adidas purple

Decided that if I'm walking for a while I might as well set some goals and benchmarks to make it more interesting.
S-DMW - 15:25
DMW-T - 9:41 (25:06) so here it was I decided "Game On".
T-DMW - 9:02 (34:09)
DNW-F - 15:40 (49:49)
Entertained myself with arithmetical calculations eg as Dale is taller than me and takes a longer stride - let's even say it's just 2cm longer - and we take the same number of steps at the same pace then how much ahead of me will he be at various marker points? So if I am to grind him into the ground how much faster do I have to go to beat hi?. ans: overtook him coming down Engineering Hill - yay tinytoes - Queen of the Downhill! sorry Dale.. did you say you had knee problems? Sorry to hear that.
He'll miss my milestone next week as it is the launch of Scone parkrun so again I drop out of the Regionaire status.
Some feeling of satisfaction. Funny how life makes you move your goalposts.

Gym5 25:08 [4] 5.0 km (5:02 / km)
ahr:124 max:131 (sick) shoes: white puma

Contemplated doing a gym6 and particularly so looking at the leisurely pace during the first km, but pulled my ankle socks up and sprinted from then on, at least for 500m each km. Person next to me, gym buddy from about 2 years ago, appeared and commented that I was putting in some effort. She could have said, making hard work of it, or tough going but she chose well. See how I go tomorrow. Blocked ears cleared for a while... then didn't.

Note

Needed to visit Wanda today so sacrificed gym. Got out for a stroll to bakery for lunchtime rolls. Very blowy but the bay looked a wonderful shade of green (with quite a few white caps)

Event (NOY6 Belford) 1:27:09 [2] 5.3 km (16:27 / km)
(sick) shoes: new black O

Looks like I used up all my accurate nav in vague areas at the SL 2 weeks ago - so that was good. But today was pretty ordinary. splits say i lost time on the alternate legs - which was pretty accurate - 2,4,6,8,9 - but on the positive side my relocation techniques were very good, plus I was recognising very quickly when I was "off". Today distance estimating was good - direction was.. well wayward. Only walked but fairly purposefully. Tempted to run but cold holding me back.
