Downhill Ski 1:30:00 [1]

Opening weekend at Gunstock - waited until Sunday afternoon to head over and get some use out of my seasons pass. 2 lifts and 3 trails open - reasonable conditions and not at all crowded.
Found myself looking longingly out into the woods. Might have been as happy grabbing my mapping gear and filling in some holes up on the Mt Rowe ridge.
Or doing a nice trail run to visit and admire the frozen water features.
Plenty of winter ahead.

Evening run at Gunstock - off and on rain, somewhat frozen mixed in. Snow/ice on the ground where it was open just above, but shaded by trees so sun not hitting it.
Hands a bit cold - should have worn the gloves I have in the truck...
Most of the XC trails have been mowed, excepting the S end of Andy's Trail (N 3/4 all covered with wood chips) and the Wood Loop.
Bridge still out on Oak - would think they'd have fixed that in the last year and a half...
Headlamp battery died just before the end - need to mark that one as having ~45 min of life in it. Quick switch to the backup battery, so I didn't have to stumble back in the dark.
