Swimming 18:00 [3] 0.6 km (30:00 / km)

Lido - first weekend of the summer season. Spoilt, with a lane to myself. Sacrial joint sore only when trying to roll more than usual. Otherwise didn't feel like several weeks away from the pool. Frequent gentle kicking definitely making a disproportionate difference, helping me both with balance and dead spots.

75.8kgs - 0.1kg less. Pleased just have maintained weight this month.

Shuffling.

Muscle in back strained, so not rushing to swim. Knee inflamed and clicking several times a day but seems to be aligned properly.

Note

Strained back in bed (turning in sleep, weight on legs) and right knee has also not been properly aligned for a couple of days, fine to walk with and normally gradually clicks back within 48 hours. Too much writing and sitting down. New mattress in order!

Lido - Swimathon event, so the pool had been heated to 19 degs. Managed to get dried out wetsuit on for short session. Not a big adjustment from buoyancy shorts. Could do with concentrating on steady effort and more distance without stopping, rather than technique which feels better than last year.

Shuffling/walking while out dog walking. Seriously seriously unfit!

Body conditioning 15:00 [2]

Keeping the swimming muscles mobile with dumbells. Should add this to the long list of preventative/strengthening weekly/daily exercises. Shoulder joints not as good as I'd like. Will need to find some drills to encourage good body rolling. Probably too flat in the water.
