mtbike (Bolton Camp) 1:10:00 [3] 13.0 km (5:23 / km)

Spent my prep riding the Bolton Camp trails and checking them against the TRCA's map. It sucks. But I had fun riding all over the camp and marking my map :)

cycling (road/rail trail) 1:20:00 [3] 31.0 km (2:35 / km)

Yet another gorgeous day - flaming fall colours in bright sunshine at 21 degrees. Pretty windy again but so beautiful! Unfortunately I didn't enjoy the ride as much as I would have normally because I was worrying about Tman. He smoked his head on our tile floor and got quite a gash over his eyebrow. Goose and Pops, as usual, took him to emerg. I just felt sick about it and waited to hear from them. Poor Tman, and poor Goose who had to hogtie Tman so they could x-ray him, and probably got as much radiation as T. They "glued" Tman's gash and we're going to keep him home for day as he likely has a concussion too.

roller ski (Thames Valley trail) 2:00:00 [3] 22.0 km (5:27 / km)

Good steady skate ski on the trail along the river in London, from the Mount on Richmond St. through the Western campus, Gibbons Park , the Forks, to Springbank Park and back. It was another absolutely glorious autumn day and the London runners were out in full force in packs of 6 or so - about a million of them on the trail. I thought there was a festival or jamboree or something - runners everywhere, and a few bikes but no other roller skiers.
Felt great :) Poor Goose, he still can't run or even hike and we didn't have room for the trike in the car. We tried to rent a canoe at Fanshawe this afternoon but we were SOL as it was such a beautiful day all the canoes were rented out. Had to settle for apple -picking with Tman.

trail Run (Fanshawe) 1:00:00 [3] 9.0 km (6:40 / km)

What a classic fall picture-postcard Canadiana sort of day! Cool crisp, clear, blue blue sky, 16 degrees. Awesome. Did a run on the Fanshawe Lake trail in a mixed forest with gorgeous views of brilliant reds and oranges across the lake against the bright blue sky. We are so lucky we live here.

cycling (road) 35:00 [4] 14.0 km (2:30 / km)

Small window before school - and a brilliant morning to be out; cool, crisp sunny. Autumn is ablaze in Ontario for sure. The crimson of the sugar maples seems particularly vibrant this year - or at least today it was. Rode hard to school and it felt great. How can you be in a bad mood after riding to work in bright sunshine with the Caledon Hills in full fall colours?

cycling (road) 31:00 [4] 14.0 km (2:13 / km)

Rode the big block back home again at noon hour, it was a bit warmer, bit windier, and it was just as beautiful.
