canoeing (harbour) 45:00 [3] 4.0 km (11:15 / km)

Was up by 5:00 to watch Damian Warner at the first international decathlon competition in more than a year - the Hypo Meeting in Götzis Austria and he absolutely rocked. He set a world decathlon record in the long jump yesterday, and in the first event today he flew over the hurdles and killed it, smoking everyone else and setting another decathlon world record. It was beautiful to watch. He won the event for the 6th time. More than anyone else ever has. So it was worth getting up at 4:30.
Then I went for a paddle on a pretty pretty bright blue day:)
11 AM

cycling (road/rail trail) 3:10:00 [3] 65.0 km (2:55 / km)

Bright blue sky day:) Some wind and not really warm but fine if you were moving. Connie O. and I rode up 19 as far as 2line and then (because Connie thinks climbing 19 gets boring) we turned off at 2md line and did the stupidly steep gravel climb up the the 3Stage parking area at 6th Sideroad. Almost s bad as the 6th St. hill. What is with the number 6 around here?!?
We rode up the 6th Sideroad and then turned at 4th line? Carried on over to 119 then took ome gravel road toward the lake and down down down. Sooo pretty! Got onto Grey rd.40 - even more spectacular with the blue bay in the background- and got onto the Georgian Trail at the bottom and back to town. I was working hard to keep up to her pace but it's good for me. We did stop for
al latte at the Surf Cafe which went down ver nicely. In town she went home but I was feeling pretty good so I pedalled around town and stopped to say hi to a few people in the area since they were outside. It was a gorgeous afternoon.

cycling (road/rail trail) 2:50:00 [3] 61.0 km (2:47 / km)

Clear bright sunny day but quite windy and not that warm. I rode the Georgian Trail up past Thornbury into a strong and chilly nw wind of the water. I turned around at Lora Bay, stopped for a snack in Thornbury and rode back to town with a fun tailwind.

cycling (rail trail) 1:20:00 [3] 30.0 km (2:40 / km)

Not an inspiring day out there today. Grey, chilly, windy. But you never feel worse for going so I met Susie and we rode to Stayner and back on the Train Trail. And as usual I felt better for getting out there:)

mtbike (3 Stage) 1:30:00 [3] 20.0 km (4:30 / km)

Goose was meeting Scott to run on the 3 Stage trails so I took m mt.bike and bumbled my way around some of the trails - some I had no business being on. Mostly because its not marked so I tried to stay on "blue" trails but ended up "black" ones where I walked my bike over rock piles etc. It was beautiful bright day and pretty in there under the hardwood canopy - but none too warm!! I wore a windbreaker and was just comfortable. I found a lovely winding pine trail but after an hour the thumbs and wrists were done. I headed down the 2nd line and out to 19 and into a mighty icy wind. It was freezing flying down the escarpment. Got back onto 6th St. to town and onto the bike trail home.

trail Run (Pretty River) 55:00 [3] 6.0 km (9:10 / km)

Should have gone a bit earlier - it was very hot and humid by late morning. Goose wanted to do a long run so we drove up to the Pretty River Rd. Bruce Trail access. He did a long run, I did a shorter one on my own. Some on the Bruce, some Pretty River side trail, some snowmobile/ATV trail under the gorgeous hardwood canopy for the most part, which was relatively cool. There was quite a bit of wind too. Still some trilliums but they won't last much longer. I jogged most of the time, ski striding up big hills, and walking down. When I got back to the car I got on my bike to ride home.
12 PM

cycling (road/rail trail) 50:00 [3] 25.0 km (2:00 / km)

Fun ride home:). The southwest wind and general descent made for a fast ride. Stayed on West Church Side road into Nottawa and on to 6th Line. Then took the rail trail home into town, grabbed my swim suit and rode to the lake for a quick dip. It was ice but felt so good!

cycling (road/rail trail) 2:00:00 [3] 42.0 km (2:51 / km)

Beautiful clear bright day. Met (legally!!) Connie and Dave O. for a ride up the dreaded 6th St. extension. That hill is sooo hard. I was breathing so hard and just barely moving forward for what seemed like forever. I got very hot too but once we were at the top and riding along rolling hills I cooled off. We came across 4th Line to a gravel road I don't know that ended up at Grey Rd.40. At the bottom we got onto the Georgian Trail and rode back to town.
Spectacular views of the Beaver Valley and Georgian Bay on a breezy day with lilacs in full force. Great way to celebrate Victoria Day:)
