But at least i had an excuse. I'm not being critical as you can judge a route quicker than me, and I was deliberately going 'the other way' - but why did you go that way?

I've just 'planned' the alternate route and on paper it's what I'd attempt, but could +/- depending on time at about 35 min mark. Going that way it's 1km less for same points - so either I would get more controls or the way we went wasn't so terribly stupid after all - I just found it boring and would have preferred around the swamp.
Now I really want to do it - not in as hot conditions but in the afternoon.

Hope scans give up some info.
