Seconded. I was there to witness it, and it was the most exciting orienteering moment I've seen. Will be great to showcase the sport.
Also from a British perspective we should be happy - relay/pack running is what we're best at! Bring on WOC pursuit.
I've not watched it back (maybe something for tomorrow) - but was it exciting throughout or just for the last couple of minutes? From looking at the GPS replay Ridefelt going solo on a RC leg near the end adds excitement - with that going on throughout it could be excellent, but then you run the risk of people sitting in and not risking it, similar to the KO sprints which were a good idea but were never executed as well as they could have been.
Was pretty exciting throughout! Pretty much glued to the TV.
Watching Runesson getting caught, then the two packs slowly coming together, small micro mistakes adding up - great TV. Then a great big dirty sprint!
