Surely you should reduce mileage and keep quality? If you’re racing, you’re racing, have a bit of a taper, run well, gain confidence. No point just bashing junk miles without hard work.
Very true, wise words. Was more thinking kinda a recovery week without sessions?
Keep the quality but drop its volume? So just a few shorter sessions to keep you sharp.
Cheers Nic. Feeling like how it's been going the last couple of days I'm going to just try and recover and keep things easy whilst dropping the volume. Flogging a dead horse a bit at the minute and perhaps training for the sake of training rather than with any intent
4 Peaks is pretty tiring and will be a big load on your body (and a good training stimulus), so it's not a bad idea to go into it fairly rested
I remember seeing you guys writing about it last year and it did sound pretty brutal! Resting up seems a good option
I cannot put into words how much the last section of Hotham hurt! I'm very jealous that they have switched Mystic Hill to the final race, that descent is foul.
Yeah you guys seemed in some serious pain on that descent, I reckon it'll be tough wherever it is
