Continuing with the supplex/lyrca combo...
Would it work to have supplex on all of the forward and outward facing surfaces and lyrca on the rearward and inward facing? Basically, putting the tough stuff on the areas that will actually see the tough stuff most often, and putting the stretchy fabric where it won't see as much action?
The Treklite knickers had the stretching fabric along the inner leg. Like Patrick mentions, less exposure to the tacky stuff.
It's worth mentioning that a) I usually just wear shorts and tall socks, and b) I mostly orienteer where there aren't many stick-tights, so I don't have any experience. I'm not even sure if my idea for pants would be comfortable.
