Do you know what your annual deductible and out-of-pocket maximum numbers are? Be prepared to keep paying through the nose for everything until you meet that out-of-pocket max...(copays & co-insurance for every office visit, lab test, image, prescription, etc.). I've been studying all this stuff more closely now that I have to figure out my own insurance for this year by the end of this month!

I'm on my wife's now. She know's all the numbers. She's adamant I was over charged $20. Which would make sense, after I truthfully answered why I'd relocated to CO. The room went frosty.

I think you need to start recording and sharing videos of these kinds of interactions. Your own YouTube channel.

I saw Shameless has started touching upon it in season 11. I'll let them do the talking for me. Waaaaaaay more entertaining. But seriously, it's that bad I had to cancel a doctors appointment tomorrow because I cant afford the copay let alone the $3900 outstanding I still owe them. I'm waiting for a $6000 cheque from Liberty Mutual (that's my secondary) so I can pay them the rest. It's just a bonkers situation.
PS. Often in times of futile despair I think "What would Frank Gallagher do?" (Especially in parenting situations).

Oh, and about five years ago I think it was USA Today did an article on my wife's chemo. We paid $62,000 for 3 litres. Once again we had "great insurance" with Blue Cross/BlueShield. Nothing ever came of it.
