Thinking about your spare tire won't do much for your enjoyment of the DeWeese's Thanksgiving feast. But running through the snow on Saturday will burn a few calories.

So is the plan still for me to start early (and set the track)? Though I might throw in a few unintended diversions, given some of my orienteering this fall. Meanwhile, I think I'll enjoy the turkey just fine. At 28 pounds, there won't be any shortages.

I'm figuring on starting around 8 - I'm supposed to be working - kind of like today :-)

Phil - Just confirming that I will be up there around 8 or so - Lake Bray, right? Its sounding damn nippy for Sat AM - and not much opportunity for snow melt - how much did you guys get up there?

There's about two inches around my house, so probably about the same in the woods. I'll know more when I set out the rest of the controls this afternoon. I suspect traction will be OK. As for tracks, with Clint going first, there should be lots of confusion :)

Peter: if you could run early and help after, that would be nice. And I'm hoping Gail might help get Margi and Nora up to speed with registration starting at 10:00. I had the ranger turn on the heat in the shelter.

Clint: the gate may not be open that early, in which case you'll need to park just outside the gate and walk or jog the 600 meters. I'll be there with maps by 8:15.

That's the point, right? See you in the AM.
