Great to see you doing some Route Choice training! Even better to see you making some very good route choice decisions, I really like how you are keeping it simple. A couple of ideas...

I'm a little bit dubious about pace counting along line feature to 'make' an attackpoint, no matter how good your pace counting is you can't be certain of exactly where you are. Eg 2-3 why not attack directly from the corner of the clearing and pace count from there so that you don't overshoot? 5-6 perhaps it is better to take the track to the north of the control and attack it from the track bend/ end of the veg boundary, or else attack it direct from the track junction and pace count to the control.

13-14 possibly touch on the two knolls next to the broad reentrant and attack the control directly form them. If you miss you will know that you have the track as a collecting feature and that you will have hit the track to the east of the clearing/veg boundary/track junction and can use this as your atttackpoint. This way you could attack the control full speed..

14-15 you can treat the top of the slope as a line feature, you know the control is at the top just as the slope starts to flatten out, so if you aim off to the left slightly then run across the top part of the slope you definitely shouldn't miss it.

I think you have done a great job with this, if you don't agree with what I have said feel free to ignore it but it might give you some useful ideas?

I would say that 2-3 my attack point is the end of the track and i am just pace counting to make sure I go in at the right point.
But I agree at 5-6 as it's a long way and looking at it now it would probably be easier to attack from the north because the visibility should be better and there is the bend in the track.
I didn't think about the top of a slope like that but I guess it is a good line feature!
Thanks Gareth

Great stuff, as i said really impressed with all the planning you did on that map but its always good to look at some alternatives as well.
