Unfortunately, I have not seen Lidar data for Oakland county anywhere. Maybe there is such data, but I have no idea where to get them. I can do some coarser contours and there is Semcog imagery if you think you want to map it.
This is Wayne county probably actually, but the same statement applies, coarser contours (NED 1/9 and Semcog imagery).
May not be that bad, resolution is worse but I got contours and some imagery. It is not a small area either, about two square miles total minus some properties. Certainly bigger than Cherry Hill.
I've never gotten a permit at a state park/rec area, having only been involved with Huron Meadows and Peach Mountain. Are there tricks or tips?
Lew or Mark would probably be the best to talk to, but generally you just call and say that we want to set an event, and probably mention Waterloo Rec Area and Huron Meadows maybe. I've never done the first approach myself. There is usually a land use permit to get and it costs between $0 and $100, some parks say $50 is the fee and some say $50 is the application fee and then there is another $50. And we have insurance from OUSA.
