So who did you walk with today? And please keep us posted on pro-names for every subsequent day without asking... :)

The pro in the group yesterday was Stacy Prammanasudh -- very pleasant young lady. The amateurs were all Wegmans' people, sounded like some were pretty high up, and all very good golfers. I was quite impressed. Quite often, Stacy's shot was not the best out of the five of them (and it's not because Stacy was playing badly by any means).

In case you need to follow Natalie Gulbis - she is the best Latvian female golfer I know.

I didn't know she was Latvian!

I'm in a group teeing off at 9:16 on hole 1 that includes Brittany Linthicome (sp?) this morning.

She is Latvian on her father's side. "Gulbis" is "Swan" in Latvian.

What kind of standard do you bear? (I don't follow golf all that much.)

Janet: I carry a sign that has the names of the golfers in the group and their scores in terms of how many strokes above or below par they are.

Here's an article I found about a person's experience as a standard bearer, along with a picture of what the "standard" looks like (and I have no idea how that name came about):
http://www.pgatour.com/2008/tournaments/r021/05/24...

And another link, with very detailed instructions on what to do and not do:
http://www.world-net.net/home/gunnerbs/

(By the way, for what it's worth, I'm not a golfer nor really much of a golf fan, but I do enjoy volunteering each year as standard bearer for the annual LPGA tournament that is in Rochester.)
