New longmynd valleys route.
Ended somewhere below mid table. Felt even slower than that so I'll take it. Fitness felt ok , just the body seemed weak and lack of recent running in fell terrain really showed. Usually pick people off on the descents when I'm this far down the field. Not his time. Shoes lost a lot of grip didn't help.
Kind of like the new route. It just takes hillsides and ridges to the summits instead of the old wet flushes. OK for me as I felt a bit uneasy after the champs race last year witnessing the erosion in those gullies. Just need more time in the hills which has been lacking for a long time now.
