Running warm up/down 14:00 [1] 2.41 km (5:49 / km)
shoes: Saucony Guide 9

Running 20:00 [3] 3.13 km (6:23 / km)
(sick) shoes: Saucony Guide 9

Finally made it to TNT. I was planning on just an easy run but I decided to to anyways.
Princess point loops with turbo, Blainey, DUD and Luca. Took them at a moderate pace, nothing strenuous. My lungs felt fine and my throat was a little sore. No coughing while running but nearly coughed up a lung during the rest. Bleh, when will this stop?!

Running warm up/down 6:30 [1] 1.14 km (5:42 / km)

Tested out my new shoes today, they're great!!

Turbofit with turbo and Luca

Note

So I visited the doctor today and she said that my throat was incredibly swollen and raw, but my lungs were fine. Could even be a mild bit of laryngitis. I've been feeling a heartburn-y feeling in my chest too, but that's probably from straining my coughing muscles so much. All I can do now is drink lots, get lots of tea with honey, and eat some halls. Yay. At least I'll have a coughing six pack.
Training wise, I hope to get in some easy runs or bikes this week, and hopefully get to the gym. Won't be doing any intense intervals or anything so it won't induce more coughing.

Running 15:00 [2] 2.77 km (5:25 / km)
(sick)

Easy run around the park to see where the body was at. Heavy legs and a tight chest, but the coughing was at a minimum while running.
Also tested out a new pair of shoes that I got for stability and I'm not sure I like em so those are probably going back

OFSAA SC
Went into this knowing that it was going to be a tough go based on the condition my sick body is in. Regardless of that, I wasn't going to fret about qualifying or getting any crazy spots- I was just happy to be there!
I went out with a little too much ambition and was in 3rd, edging up an inch after each barrier on the girls behind me. Then I got to the first water jump which I butchered. I got onto the steeple and just blanked! I forgot what I was supposed to do and just hopped down on two feet (?!?). Bumped back a bunch after that and just lost the momentum to catch back up to the pack.
After that water jump though, I felt way more confident on my hurdles and water jumps.

Had I not been sick, and did better at that jump I think I could have held my pace and gotten a PB!

After the race I proceeded to cough my lungs up, hacking away at my poor throat which is now raw. :(

I'm not going to sulk about not qualifying for the final, frankly I'm stoked about my time with a sick body! OFSAA has been a phenominal experience in both track and XC, there's nothing like that vibe anywhere else. This season wasn't exactly the 'go out with a bang' kind of season, but that's okay with me. Track is not my primary sport and I'm happy to have even made it this far.
I'm getting emotional because that was my last race for Westdale, but I'm going to save you all from that ;)

Hopefully this bug goes away and I can start training hard for JWOC! :)
