Definitely over did it in the last two days to run super well. Mark from Mynydd Du was pretty strong and I followed him across the plateau. He started getting a gap at the foot of ‘the wall’ and increased it to 20/25s by the summit. Legs really feeling it on the last more runnable bit towards the top. Super misty and couldn’t see him when I turned and then almost followed a slightly wrong path down until I saw runners coming up. Saw him as I got to the top of the steep bit and could see I was going to catch him by the bottom. Followed across the marsh and then overtook at the top of the final slope, he was racing though so I had to push.

Pleased to have got the win despite being second at the top. Would probably have stuck with him if my legs were not already feeling it. Fastest time since 2007 they said.

Like Friday night runs back in the day. Late plan for a run with Andy Watkins. A bit more pacey, esp on the descents.

With Jack Agnew from Little Stretton. Wanted to do hills but it was good to be social. About five climbs, never maxed out but pushed at times and the legs felt strong. Ashlet, Yearlet, Cross Dyke, Minton Hill, Minton Batch, Windy Batch, Callow, Nills.
