Tour round Dodford, Weedon and Stowe before loosely following the Ne-ne to Upton. Up a lovely weird climb past and an old asylum development before back through Harlestone, Brington and the hill.

Running 50:00 [3]

Into the village then fartlek from the bench to the kennels. Was going to do another 10 back but left knee gone funny again. Going back to alternating running/cycling.

Running 10:00 [3]

Headed out on the canal loop so I could do a tempo to Daventry and back if I felt like it. I didn’t even feel like the canal loop. Very lethargic, I made it only to the railway and back, mainly walking. Had beer and pizza before spending hours on Brian Ward’s map quiz.

Cycle (Evening ride) 1:26:00 [3] 38.7 km (2:13 / km) +466m 2:06 / km

Out down the A5 until I got bored so turned right into the hills. The Preston Capes hill was too far out the way so wiggled to the backside of Everdon Stubbs then down, along and over to Dodford.

Strength & Conditioning 20:00 [3]

General top up. Ripped some shorts squatting though.

Running 54:22 [3] 12.78 km (4:15 / km) +118m 4:04 / km

Felt sluggish up the hill but then on the down towards Whilton after the railway I picked up the pace and kept it going for 30 minutes or so back round to the railway crossing. Home from there with a weird build-up in my left knee. Tried showing some old shoes some love but they rejected me by almost drawing blood, so they got binned once home. Also tried stealing a segment off Willy while he can’t respond but it failed to register sadly.
