TTC 3.2 km time trial

Wasn't feeling too optimistic after Wednesday's poor showing, it being cold and rainy and having never done a 3.2km time trial before.

I think i went off slightly too fast so took it slightly easier for the rest and gave it my all on the last lap. Was absolutely spent and couldn't have given much more which was good.

10:46 equates to a vdot of 58.6 which equates to a 5km time of 17:23. This shows i'm not too far off where i was 8 months ago as it wasn't good conditions tonight.

100, 200, 300, 400, 300, 200 with 20s recovery all at CSS +3s (which for me is 1:37/100m ) and they were 1:34, 1:38, 1:37, 1:37, 1:38, 1:36.

HFW and a detour to Morrisons. Nearly didn't make it out of work though as i was locked in the office whilst getting changed. Luckily a person from the neighbouring office unit heard me knocking.

Good to set a benchmark after not doing a 5km for a seriously long time. Much improvement to be made though. Was faffing around at the end waiting for my watch to say 5km so was not as quick as it should be.

Had earmarked today as a day i would run home from work but i didn't have my act together this morning.

A recovery run was in order anyway. My training hours have significantly increased now i'm back running and not as busy as last week. Also got club speed tests tomorrow and friday so didn't want to do anything requiring too much effort

I'm planning a training session on Cleeve Hill this Saturday so after work I drove up there and pootled round the control locations on the tricky part of the map to make sure they are suitable and the map is right. Had a bit of trouble finding one location in the woodland but overall was a useful exercise as i've moved a few controls and it was really technical in the dark.
