running/walking 2:56:37 [2] 18.3 mi (9:39 / mi)
slept:7.0 shoes: Asics Gel-Cumulus9

AM - ran with Dee & Becky on Dee's route; Becky cut short at 15th & Monterey; Dee headed back at Clinton Pkwy & Wakarusa. I headed S to bikeway thru spillway, then to Outlet Park; then back along S Lawrence Trafficway bikepath and back by Free State.
Garmin heart monitor definitely not working right (kept beeping that heart rate was below range. Some bpm readings: 32, 41, . . . and only a high of 75. Finally stopped when I had a reading of about 38 and got a 96 bpm with the Timex). Oh well, this is the fluff stuff. Ankles were starting to ache, but managed to finish without discomfort. Finally learning marathon training can not be rushed. Time, train, and rest. The rest is key!

running/walking 1:22:17 [2] 8.5 mi (9:41 / mi)
max:139 slept:7.0 shoes: Asics Gel-Cumulus9

AM - HHHH (the 4Hs: home - HyVee on 23rd - HyVee on 6th - home).
Rain had stopped, so only had slight mist for a short time with some very light snow flurries. 33F, overcast. Got to HyVee and Dog Days group was just taking off going up to 15th. I followed and left group at 15th & Monterey. Back by HyVee (6th St), then home. Heart rate monitor is not working right; will try to install new batteries.
Only took 3 weeks to figure out my rest rate is about 50 bpm, so the average workout rates shouldn't be 55 and 63. . .
Tried New Balancw orthotics again. . . sicne I have relatively low arches, the arch support seems too high and too far forward causing the rubbing last Sunday. Will run tomorrow without them.

AM - to get 8 miles, I ran Princeton to Peterson 1st, before turning around and going up Lawrence Ave, then to KU campus, downtown, then home. AT 10th & Mass, tried to ride "at tempo". Will check the heart rate monitor as the perception was I tried to push the pace.
Cat woke me up several times last night. . .
