4C and windy tested my resolve to ride the south shore of Lake Simcoe. I drove up to park on the lake, where it was supposed to be free, but I guess they decided to extend the $20 a day for a few weeks. I back tracked up to ROC and parked there.

I started west wanting to get around the bottom of Cooks Bay - the finger of the lake extending south. I made a couple of bad turns on short residential streets, but it stretched the distance to my target of 65km. Ravenshoe ends before the maps suggest and is really just farm access for the last few kilometres.

I took more of the main road going back to minimize how many times I had to cross Metro, which is fairly busy in Keswick. I managed to ride the whole of this portion of the lake shore, so job done.

Nutrition: 1 Tailwind Ride, 1 Lara bar, 1 Honey Stinger chews - I could have used a couple hundred more calories.
