Easy run to check out hip. Did 20 minutes of stability exercises after, including squat for 10 minutes and couch stretch.

Knee pain is gone. I was told today at CF to do 20 minutes per day of ROM to help with my knee, hip and IT band injury prevention. I have a sequence to do once a day. Need to bike today but realistically it's a no go because of my meeting schedule. I am starting the Whole 30 diet today. No sugar for 30 days, among many other things. I have been eating like crap.:)

Finally feeling better so let the training begin.

First day back in awhile. Strength was heavy shoulder press x 5 reps. Then WOD: 50 KB swings then 3 rounds of: front squat x 9, strict pull ups x 10, 20 burpees. Surprised that I felt pretty good. Probably will be sore and feeling it tomorrow. Will not go heavy for the first week to ease back in.

Felt like complete crap all week,most likely thanks to the flu shot I received from work. I also have the same right hip pain I had a year ago, which sucks. It's minimal so I am doing the hip exercises and stretching like crazy. The worst part of this whole week is yesterday. Was supposed to do a 9 hour sprint and for the first time EVER in my life, I stopped at the 4 hour mark. I just could not fathom racing how I felt for 5+ more hours. Had a fever, headache, everything ached, had no energy, felt sick to my stomach. I did not want to drag them down or hold them back. I have never had this situation before and wasn't sure how it should be handled. If we had traveled out of our area, I would have never dropped. I also knew that they had a good chance of placing in the top 5 but with me feeling like crap, I would possibly have dragged them down. I was able to keep up fine but I was worried that I would not have been able to. Anyway, they got to stay ranked so I didn't feel half as bad, however, I do feel like a loser and second guess my decision like crazy. Cheers to a hopefully better week.

4 hill repeats on Blue Mound Rd. Felt crabby today so I needed to bike after running.

Forgot to start bike clock. Did Bluemound to Sunnyslope hill repeats (3) after riding about 12 miles.
