Trekking on packed snow with DML and Lakota in the Belknaps above lake Winni. Nice winter day. About 50% on solid snowshoe track and 50% on less reliable crust atop 6-12" soft snow. We had to split up partway so Dave could slow walk back to the car with Lakota who had developed a forelimb lameness. Then we reunited for a 2nd ascent of Mt. Major and run down. Microspikes and poles. ~ 15# pack.
