Hill Running 52:53 [2] 5.08 mi (10:25 / mi) +337m 8:38 / mi
shoes: Inov 8 Mudclaw 300

Sad to miss the sunshine. In work all day and lots of work for uni meant I didn't get out until late. Working reasonably hard on a steep off path climb up Allermuir then taking things easy for the rest of the run. Things should calm down as of this week.

Warm up with Ross and Kamilla

Trail Running race (Round the Grounds) 17:38 [5] 2.95 mi (5:59 / mi) +35m 5:46 / mi
shoes: Salomon Sense Mantra

Lovely day for it. Felt I was running well. In the end a few seconds slower than last year but with the start line moved back a few meters and the new woodchip that has been put down on most of the course that slows things down I'm happy enough. Solo effort after about halfway so there are a couple of points I probabyl could have pushed harder

Trail Running warm up/down 28:13 [2] 3.34 mi (8:27 / mi) +30m 8:13 / mi
shoes: Salomon Sense Mantra

Easy cooldown with Ross and Kamilla then looking for some missing runners. Turns out they had entered online then not shown up. Not communicated between registration and the folk on the finish so wound up running all of the course again

Easy on the round the grounds route marking the course.

Knee feeling absolutely fine. Not sure what was wrong.

shoes: Inov 8 Mudclaw 300

Drove out to Red Moss from uni and did an easy run over the kips with Kamilla. Very foggy and no views today.

Left knee was feeling a little bit sore at the start of the warm up yesterday but eased off and was fine in the session. A bit sore when walking around today. Felt fine running until I started going downhill. Will take things easy tomorrow and see how I get on. Road shoes are possibly getting a bit passed it.

Road Running warm up/down 27:02 [2] 3.62 mi (7:28 / mi) +15m 7:22 / mi
shoes: Asics GT 2000 #2

Along to the track from uni. Pace feeling pretty easy.

Road Running 36:46 [4] 4.91 mi (7:29 / mi)
shoes: Asics GT 2000 #2

20X200m to get the legs going. Paced it better than when I did this session last month. Aim was about 1500m race pace (whatever that is) running mostly 37s and 38s. Easy jog recovery.

Road Running warm up/down 5:12 [1] 0.59 mi (8:49 / mi)
shoes: Asics GT 2000 #2

Easy cooldown with Kamilla

Short and easy hill run. Just did the climb up to Bonaly reservoir then over to Swanston after. Chest feeling ok.

Round the round the grounds route with athletics

Trail Running 19:00 [4] 2.8 mi (6:47 / mi) +21m 6:38 / mi
shoes: Asics GT 2000 #2

Stuart wanted to go again a bit faster. Turned into a bit of an impromptu race. Took a bit to get into a rhythm and he pulled away. Reeling him back in on the hills in the second half until I had a bit of a coughing fit. Stopped for a minute then carried on and did just enough to stay ahead of Sean.

Trail Running warm up/down 3:12 [1] 0.35 mi (9:09 / mi) +10m 8:24 / mi
shoes: Asics GT 2000 #2
