(sick)

Not feeling too great againg but heading out to Eccy to tape some control sites.

ORIENTEERING (Taping Courses) 1:30:00 [3] **** 12.0 km (7:30 / km)
spiked:56/58c (sick) shoes: OLWAY Tigers

Taping all the controls for the ShUOC Chasing Sprint. Wow this is going a really good race I think - it's high paced, lost of twists and turns and actually quite runnable! ooooo excited!!! Also found a couple of crap controls but hey they can be changed with Charlies approval!

And again - but feeling better after Lemsipping my way to health.

BIKING intervals ('7 Hills' Cameraman) 45:00 [3] ** 6.5 mi (6:55 / mi)
(sick)

I felt a little better this afternoon so went out and biked round the new course of the '7 Hills Race' of Sheffield shouting abuse at the runners (i mean encouragement) and took some really blurry photos. Its dark now. :-(

ORIENTEERING race 54:00 [4] *** 7.2 km (7:30 / km) +240m 6:26 / km
spiked:21/26c slept:5.5 shoes: OLWAY Tigers

Linarce O (DVO) Brown Course.
Brambles and steep in places (nearly died on one of the controls falling into a pile of sharp rocks) apart from that, twas good. My mate Steve planned the courses - a little different from the originals due to controlling power crazyness. Nice course with sharp twists and turns. Made a mess fo those controls where the map didn't really represent the ground. i.e. shallow depression at edge of clearing; the depression was over 50m from said clearing. But that's just the map for you. Miserable day and nice to get out.

RUNNING warm up/down 15:00 [1]

Freezing and rain to warm up and down so didn't really do much. Does shivering count?

Note

The weather sucks.

RUNNING 38:00 [2] 6.0 km (6:20 / km) +150m 5:38 / km
shoes: Highlanders

With Haze from Plantation up to High neb and back in the worst wind ever. Met with Jon, Steve, Jame and Jonny for a quick boulder - then didnt bother as they had gone by the time we arrived.

RUNNING (Rivelin Road and Track) 45:00 [4] 10.0 km (4:30 / km) +310m 3:54 / km
ahr:168 max:180 slept:8.0 shoes: Hardrocks

Different run this time - and running solo in the morning for the 1st time in a long while.
Springvale - Crookes - Crosspool - Rivelin Valley - Stannington Towers - Rivelin Valley - Bole Hill - Springvale

Actually went on paths i've never been before and I'm getting a bit pissed off with dogs. Lovely temperature for running though..

Note

DOGS

- in Venice there were a lot of lose dogs and they were 'ok' as most were being called back - Bole Hill on the other hand is where idiots in Sheffield seem to walk their dogs. Got jumped and nearly bitten twice. I wonder how the owners would like it if I jumped all over them and tried to bite their arms off??

DOWNHILL

also after running on the roads so much at the moment I've lost the ability to run on anything uneven especially downhill or covered in leaves... need to work on that!
