After scuffing my knee and leg yesterday, the long race was going to be a challenge and it was. With my knee very hard to bend and hurting with nearly every step, I managed to hobble round the 16km course with relative ease.
My navigation however was pretty poor where it mattered and I always seemed to assume that the controls would be at the top of the slopes rather than the bottoms, so wasted a lot of time climbing up muddy slopes!!!
Anyway, cut a long story short, I finished. Hobbling and not running as fast as I have done in recent weeks, it sure was nice to get to the end.
Leg stiffening up again! ouch!

Quite a different street race to the usual lot with lots of park areas and around 60% being able to be run on grass!
Missed number one (!) as it was on the opposite side of the feature to what I was looking for... but after that pretty clean.
Fell over and scuffed my leg on tarmac at control 16, but didn't affect my running too much, was slow for 17-20 which is where i lost time and got up to speed again on the last few loops picking up the fastest splits on teh long legs at end.
Great area! Actually better in my opinion than Oxford - Came second behind Andy Simpson... not too bad considering my fall.

Langsett Loop (Cut off)
Felt rubbish at around 4km (14.08), so decided to straight line back home, the next 2 km took a good 15 mins with it all being uphill from Infirmary Road.
