Cyclo-X 59:00 [1] 14.03 mi (4:12 / mi)
ahr:108

Knee hurts today, not super bad, but I have to be careful getting in and out of chairs. In the morning did a charity walk, but AHR was 81, and it didn't get above 100 probably, so I'm not logging that. In the afternoon rode Bingham Hill, but I forgot my cycling shoes, so I had to use sneakers, which wasn't the best. Also, my junk food lunch didn't give me much energy for this ride and I started to bonk after about 40min.

warmup

Orienteering 1:17:28 [2] 5.67 mi (13:40 / mi)
ahr:143 max:167

A red course at diamond bay, based on the O-fest red course, with modifications by Swampfox. Was not the best going to #1, completely blew #2, but the upshot was that I saw a great outcrop of magma mingling. After 2, orienteering was quite good, just route choice questions always are there. But also after 2 my left knee started to hurt bad on a decent, so I had to slow way down and be very careful not to bend that knee that much. Quite frustrating. Both Achilles were not the happiest either. Fun orienteering just the same. When I got home I iced both Achilles and the knee.

Cyclo-X 59:00 [1] 16.11 mi (3:40 / mi)
ahr:122

Did the 28th, other trail, back on Poudre loop, which is much longer than I thought, but I also didn't get on the Poudre trail at the dog park, went out to the Sheeps Draw trail. Rode quite hard, though the AHR doesn't quite show that.

ahr:129

warmupcooldown

Trail Run 24:00 [4] 4.04 mi (5:56 / mi)
ahr:175 max:183

Running club. 3x8min with just 1 min rest in between. I really pushed it hard, but still ran smart. Paces were 5:59, 5:58, 5:53. The last one really hurt. The thing that bums me out a bit about this workout is that it is 19min 5km pace. I'm not sure I could go much faster, but maybe the road is much faster than the crushed stone path, I don't know. Maybe I'm just getting slow.

Cyclo-X 1:00:00 [1] 16.76 mi (3:35 / mi)
ahr:126

For a change of pace, drove out to Red Barn and rode the Poudre trail from the sheeps draw intersection to the Kodak lot. Nice tail wind going west, so pushed the pace and managed to keep it up on the return.

Cyclo-X 15:00 [1] 2.09 mi (7:11 / mi)
ahr:120

A few laps around the Red Barn trails after getting back to the car.
