Unsure whether to run or bike today eyeing a comeback SLR tomorrow vs a mileage target for the past week. This is no time to be chasing miles though, so went for the spin in the end, and very glad for it because I doubt I could've would've survived a run in that heat for long. Nice hour in the saddle though.

Certainly on the shorter and slower side of things - and really embarrassingly tired by the end of this - but that is recognisably a training run.

Niggle free back-to-back training days, I'm almost a little suspicious. Must keep the anti-ITBS stretches going, and manage mileage load carefully, but there might be a chance of proper training weeks to come soon.

Now weighing the pros and cons of trying to go 3 days in a row, attempting a Sunday Long Run, or giving the legs a break

Inner parks run. Not the most exciting, but safest in case of twinges. Happily though, none to report. Knees appreciative of the weekend off and steady approach, but feels like progress in that department. Real changes in fitness will have to wait though.

Meant to be a short spin on the busway but decided to get out to Dry Drayton and back on the little climbs to Madingley so ended up a little long.

Someone kicked past me (probably had a nicer bike something something) heading up to Madingley so had a little back and forth into town which pushed the pace up.

what!? A session? Yes really, a session.

4x300[90'']
[5']
2x300[2']

Complete track fairy nonsense, but actually a very easy session to get back into. Felt good, if very slow. Knees didn't enjoy life afterwards, but felt fine while running. I'm not sure if that's good news or actually quite dangerous - might get a better idea tomorrow morning.

Lil run pre-climbing. Felt decent, but knees making themselves known. If I can't train with a niggle like this I'll never train at all so just gotta manage it carefully.

Climbing 1:30:00 [3]

Climby climb with Sam and Gabriel. Felt like a breakthrough session, suddenly able to do some colours I'd never even considered before, which was nice. One route kept tripping me up though and couldn't crack it before closing time, so I'll have to go back.

Would be very nice to feel that sort of progress and compulsion to get a thing done with running - its been missing with all these injuries and low-mileage 'sensible' training weeks.
