Took some paths less rough than yesterday. One uphill tempo. Should do a hill training this week since latvian champs is in Turaida this year. Same terrain as WOC long, tough. Hope the back will get better.

Work trip to Oslofjord, Norway. So happy to see forest nearby. Took some trails, quite rough - rocks, roots, uphills etc. Nevertheless a good run, just terrible lower back pain in the evening.

A very nice start up to 8, catched Karlis to 7, almost left him behind, but made mistake to 8, after that just did not feel too fit to loose him and we did the rest together. Some minor mistakes here and there, nothing too serious to feel bad. Oh, the routechoice to 18 was horrible, lost 2min there and maybe an overall win (lost 3min to Andis). Counted 6min in mistakes aftewards, so not so happy in the end. At the finish I had a feeling I did a good run. Won today, 2nd overall. Some of the rivals lost it completely, hehe

One of those days when you feel confident at the start and then just nothing works in the forest - direction, reading, etc etc... First 2 ok, everything else slow and dirty.

Finally running weather, not hot and some rain, perfect.

My goal was to keep close to the red line as possible which actually worked out well. Took some roads to avoid soft surface here and there.

Almost a perfect race, less than a minute on mistakes. Just the speed could be higher, have to work on that at some point.

A somewhat nice terrain and an easy course, hoped for more technical. Still did a 1min mistake on 9, and few smaller ones. Good thing it was early start before the heat kicks in, anyway got overheated in the middle and speed dropped rapidly :(

Fun thing - saw Atis near 8 (he started 10min after me), so he was looking for 4 there. Huge mistake for him, still I lost a minute in the end.

Good fun to run the WOC terrain, the course planner did not bring us in every valley which is a good thing, very hard to climb these.

Some uncertainty on 7 cost me 50sec and victory, lost 30sec to Atis, who climbed the hill to 17 38seconds faster.

Not a great run, 2min mistakes on 1st and 16th, as well as few smaller, 6min combined.
Physically it was ok until 10 or so, had even a thought I could keep up the pace, but then just died on every little hill, still too hot for me.

First sprint race ever. Was kinda fun, did not push myself too much, still did some small mistakes and one bigger on 19 (1min), have to learn the sprint map specifics first as I did not know the pink-ish area is not crossable..
