Easy to Medium on Eric's (Sky Pilots) San Juan Overlook map. Really enjoyed it except for some compulsory cactus removal stops. Only large error was at 4. I stopped for 5 mins to access the situation. Knew where I was and too high, but wasn't prepared to descend to the control until I could make out the contours. Ultimately this never happened so I took a bearing off the path above. Some of the wooded areas were lovely.
NB. Sneffels snow was filthy.

LSD. Went for a run and just kept going. Felt good. Iron Mtn. Spur via Remine, Penelope,Deep Creek. No water, no bother.
NB. In other news a Durango newspaper is reporting the snowcap has officially melted in the San Juans. This is the third time in 170 years it's happened in May. (The other two occurred in 2001? and 2018.) It's been put down to the usual climate change factors, but also dust. We've had an unbelievable amount of filth blown in this May. I wonder if its not just the usual Mojave stuff but maybe the Tonga volcano?? I think the snow's melted in different areas to the usual. You can see some sides of Wilson are brown, but other sides of cols/arêtes are still very white on the snowfields.

OOOF terrible 48 hours. I'd rather open my legs and hammer my big man flat than have a colonoscopy. Fortunately I won't be having another for 10 years. The six hour round trip hitting my father-in-law's camper pan every 15 mins didn't help. Mentally knackered.
