RALF group run starting at St Pat’s HS, heading north and east in Alta Vista neighbourhood with Francis. Did a big loop exploring trails, neighbourhood roads and paths, and green spaces, heading towards Billings Ave at the northernmost limit. Had a weird, kind of scary asthma-like reaction at about 8 km, after running up a small hill. I couldn’t get enough air into my lungs. Breathed into one of Francis’ overmits to slow my breathing down and stimulate the PNS to open up the airways again. A first. Not fun.
Went for brunch at the BV restaurant with much of the crew. Fun.

Stat bike session, good solid effort with some harder stand-up-pedalling intervals thrown in randomly. Kept the HR up. Easy spin last 3 min.

Walked (and jay-walked!) with Francis to the Honda dealer to pick up our car. Incredibly windy, with gusts that almost blew us off the sidewalk at times!

Along the river to the Lego building and back. Scrunchy-slippy stuff on 60% of the bike path, but some nice bare stretches where I could speed things up. Mostly slow. Was sad to see how the City has started destroying the greenbelt for the fucking LRT line. Lots of gorgeous old trees and bushland habitat completely razed. Disgusting, really. The mud is running like blood all over the place from the carnage. :/

DP and back, using the bike path. Snow and slippy bits along 95% of the path, but the fat-bike commuters have made a nice lugged-up little trail to follow. Still a bit slow, but much better than running the Winter 4H Dungeon Loop. Exchanged hellos with Rick and Nakika at the triangle towards the end of the run.
The river is starting to freeze up near the shore!
