Yoga 45:00 [3]

Much-needed low intensity activity today. Walked Hazel with Francis early this morning. Felt really tired, sore, and creaky until I did a basic yoga workout to tackle all the problem areas. Was tempted to do plank at the end but my left cuff is still bugging me so I opted out of that idea.
2 PM

Walking 1:40:27 [2] 8.05 km (12:29 / km)
ahr:96 shoes: Merrell Moab

With Sandra to the second turn around. Nice cool breezy weather!

Cycling 1:40:41 [4] 40.0 km (2:31 / km)
ahr:139 max:168 shoes: Shimano WR61 clip-ins

SJAM steady intense effort. Out to War Museum on first round, out to Booth St on second round. Significant headwind heading west :/.
Nice cool, overcast morning, very pleasant start with very few people out there. Getting busy by 9:00 or so. Francis caught me on the ‘JAM at about 34 km, as he was returning from his perimeter ride. We did a little extra loop in the ‘hood to get the distance up to 40km.
My ass is KILLING me: too long in an aggressive posture with no relief!!!! Gotta get tougher. Felt left foot PF at some spots. Good calf stretch when I got home :)

Run Sandwich 44:14 [3] 6.6 km (6:42 / km)
shoes: ASICS Gel Kayano 26

Walked to Alpine, ran 4.5 km, walked 200m, then 2 x {500m run + 200m walk}, than walked the rest of the way home.
Crikey!!!! It was hot and humid. Already 20C by 5:30 a.m. Nice head-breeze on the way back. PF was fine!
27 morning greetings :)

Walking 59:10 [3] 6.5 km (9:06 / km)
ahr:102 shoes: Merrell Ventilator-types

To DP and back. Really warm, really busy, nice head-breeze on the way back.
19 morning greetings.
9 AM

Yard work 2:00:00 [4]
shoes: Merrell Ventilator-types

Reel-mowed the lawn. It was really difficult because the grass was so long!!! Could only finish the front yard and about a third of the back yard. Tremendous cardio and arm-strength workout!
Holy sweat-fest!!!

Strength & Stretch 1:05:00 [3]

Good session. Awesome playlist (Heads Will Roll) :)

Wow! Great ride into Quebec with Francis on a modified Lac Leamy Loop. We’ll call this one the CDEAD route: ‘Construction Dead Ends and Detours’ route. Man, there were sudden fences up, dudes with lolly-pop stops at intersections, arrows pointing vaguely to alternate routes, and windy, quirky detours politely pointed out by friendly construction workers. What fun!!!!!

We’re slowly getting our Gat Hills Legs back in shape :)
Hot already this morning with high temp, humidex and UV readings. We were sun-screened up and had our water bladders in our marathon vests in addition to our water bottles. Good strategy! It worked out very well.

Nice to settle into the AC after we cooled down a bit outside first, with our yogurt ‘n’ fruit post-biking snack :)

Run Sandwich 43:59 [3] 6.6 km (6:40 / km)
ahr:143 shoes: ASICS Gel Kayano 26

Same pattern as Saturday. Again, felt PF creeping in at 4km but held it off. The run-walk intervals calmed things down so that I didn’t feel any discomfort at all when I finished the final walk portion. Felt my L calf really tightening up about half-way through the run portion. Keeping up the 3 min calf stretch at the end of each activity.
20 Morning greetings; lots of sour-faces out there today, though. It was damned busy on the paths by 7 a.m. Already a very warm and humid day.
3 PM

Walking 23:44 [2] 2.1 km (11:18 / km)
ahr:95 shoes: Merrell Ventilator-types

Short walk with Tash In her neighbourhood. Really hot (32C) with a humidex of 38C, so we kept it short. Not much of a breeze out there; the river was really calm.

14 morning greetings.
