Warm but very windy morning. Struggled throughout this run. Felt very tired. Had to stop a couple of times and wring out my tshirt and also to stretch my right calf which was feeling tight. Ran this route last month and was feeling great, this was a fairly stark contrast to then.

Really enjoyed this run in heavy rain. It was quite warm with little wind so it was refreshing to run in the wet and I felt good and comfortable from the start. Enjoyed doing the hill sprints too - it’s always good fun running fast when you are feeling good. Did these after about 25 mins. Opted for another undulating route as I have done all week so far.

7 hill reps on the usual route at Ballyboley. Dry and sunny with moderate wind. Wasn’t feeling great at the start and throughout the first 15 mins of warmup but the hill reps felt ok and I was getting faster each time. Did the same 2 mile/15 min loop as a cool down

Had to turn back as my back was too sore to run unfortunately. Was stiff when I woke up and the pain is in exactly the same place as a couple of times before - bottom left. I had tried stretching and warming it up before I went out and thought it would run off but it wasn’t going away and I couldn’t run properly. Went to the physio before about this and was given some exercises so will do those again. Went on the bike when I got home and that was fine

Easy road run with 6 hill sprints at half way. The hardest thing about this run was getting out the door but it wasn’t too bad after that. I had felt really tired and fell asleep after I finished work. Windy and wet weather. Just kept it as easy as possibly on a fairly hilly route.

The usual 7 hill reps at Ballyboley. Had to drive up and park in the lower car park (which has now reopened) due to a shorter time window as my wife was going out and I needed to be back for the kids. Approx 15 min warm up with only a few mins cool down but got the reps done which was the main thing. Tough session as usual but good to get it done. Decent afternoon for running - cool and little wind

Back in the office a couple of days a week (since last week) so going to start running round the grass playing fields again. Particularly now that they are dry. Felt tired and lethargic. Sometimes those shoes can have that effect but I don’t think I am fully recovered from the 100 yet. My right calf was also feeling a bit tight throughout

Zwift ride which included a 30 min race with friends. It was hard to resist racing but possibly wasn’t the best of ideas as I noticed my heart rate was quite high throughout which is perhaps an indicator that I haven’t fully recovered from last week. Everything felt fine though. Intend to to something easy tomorrow.
