Glen nant day 2
Started off with a contour routechoice exercise in the forest which was really nice. Despite jetlag, dead legs, hill reps previous afternoon and spending two nights on a village hall floor I was doing 9.45s around the forest which I was very surprised about.
Did a “fun” relay at the end, only thing fun was taking the W
Iris came in with a 20 second lead and after a clean run (apart from the one control Louis was at) I managed to make it into a 5 min lead and then Matt cruised in 7/8 mins in front

Line course in the open, windows compass exercise and a bit of the line course in the forest
Walked most of the compass as I had no energy and legs were dead

Felt too dead to run so went for a stroll with other ill people
Saw the course and it looked too good too miss out on so with no warm up I went and did 3/4 of the session at a decent pace

Making the most of our last proper day in china

The best course and area I have ever orienteered in
Nothing like anything I have been in before
Made a few wee mistakes in the first few controls including ripping my map in half at 5
Not as bad as Ales though as he ripped his in three

Half of it was under a motorway which was mad
Not the best idea to wear shorts as there were a lot of dark green sections
Beat Petr and only 7 seconds behind Tobias which I’m chuffed with
