Mountain-Bike 2:30:00 [2]

Home-Egg-Spycher-Trogen-Gäbris-Bühler-Haslen !-St. Gallen.
Wonderful ride in the evening, had some orienteering problems and got lost on the way back to St. Gallen, a little bit ashamed since I carried a map. Had nothing in my legs, the angel confused me too much...;-)

Club Championship OLG Galgenen; together with OLG Wislig :-), Handicap-O, Thomas and I had the same handicap, but he beat me by 4 min. and won. Felt not very strong, probably due to lacked warm-up and quick start ( massstart ). But it was an nice day anyway !

Thomas and I reran an old course ( club-championship 1998 ) on "Etzel Ost", pushed each other a little bit and I felt my sausage in the stomach...

Urnäsch-Hochalp-Ri. Schwägalp-Chamm-Kronberg-Jakobsbad-Urnäsch; 1500m climbing, with Fabian, not too tough.

Some loops around St. Gallen, most downhills on awesome singletrails, with Päde ( first exerc. after 4 weeks ) and Fabi ( first exerc. after 12 months ).

Running 20:00 [2] 3.0 km (6:40 / km)

Warm-up for the WRE-course. Did the model event ( 3 controls ) and felt not bad. Also some minutes of cool-down after the race.

Orienteering 1:43:00 [4] 16.0 km (6:26 / km)

WRE Event and Swiss trial for WC and CISM. Wannenberg map.14,2km, 575m climbing, 24c. Started slowly and controlled, no mistakes until Matthias Niggli catched me, so I couldn´t folllow him...shit ! Was unmotivated after that and lost lot of time. Wasn´t my race, could´t find and got a little bored after 70min.
This kind of competition is maybe not the right thing for me, either sprint or ultralong distance, that´s what I like !
Thomas Bührer won with fantastic 83min.

Didn´t push me too hard, considering the tough race on saturday.

Mountain-Bike 5:00:00 [2]

Checked out the trails I planned to ride with the other guys on May 19/20th: Home-Stein-Waldstatt-Hochamm-Ri. Hemberg-Hochwacht-Ri. Schwägalp-Urnäsch-Waldstatt-Stein-Home, got very hungry after 4 hours ( just carried 3 little bars ), so I couldn't concentrate anymore and had a painful crash with a root. Was totally exhausted when I got home and will a) never ride with an 1:50'000 scale map and b) always take too much food on longer MTB rides.

Little homeloops on three different hills above home.

Saturday May 4, 2002 #

Running 20:00 [2] 3.0 km (6:40 / km)

Warm-up / cool-down for SOLA, felt very good before the start, although it was 7.30 am.

Running 46:34 [4] 13.2 km (3:32 / km)

SOLA Relay, ran the second leg; 13,2km ( official 13.6km), 105m climbing. Was a pretty fast course and so I enjoyed it ! Satisfied with the time, 11th place on leg, out of 450.

Running 7:00 [2] 1.0 km (7:00 / km)

Jogged to the start of the o-training.

Orienteering 1:12:00 [3] 8.0 km (9:00 / km)

Churer-Training-OL; 8km, 320m climbing, 16c.: ok, was a little bit too much after race in the morning, but I love this wood, so got there with Dani in the evening.
8min mistake on the 3th control, and some 1 and 2 min. mistakes after that. Rained the hole day, temperatures around 5°C, so was thinking all the time about giving up, but I didn't !
