other (hiking) 2:00:00 [3] 4.0 km (30:00 / km)

hike up Zuma canyon. no trail, veggies kinda thick in places. the bottom of the super steep canyon walls was ~20ft across and filled with car sized boulders, cattails, and fairly skunk ponds (lots of big fish too). managed to get through getting only one foot wet though.

run 1:15:00 [3] 8.0 km (9:23 / km) +300m 7:54 / km

a short jog to get to the start of the canyon, plus the jog back along the fireroad once I got out. includes a 1000ft climb to get up to the ridgeline. it was about noon by this time and kinda hot.

Note

on an unrelated note, I got to leave work at 8:30 last night, and only had to go in for an hour today. this could be setting a whole new precedent for weekends...

morning ride to the beach and up the canyons a bit. two training days in a row, is this a new record?
