Progressive run 3 laps 5km each 26'38" 136ahr, 24'58" 147ahr and 23'08"155ahr. Felt pretty good on this one. Started out feeling a bit sluggish, but each lap felt progressively better....

Nice comfortable pace ran on the trails, lots of changes of direction etc. Hams felt a bit tight to start, but after 15' felt fine. Good stretch afterwards.

7x Trail intervals around a 1km loop. ~3' at or around 170 and then an average of of 1'40" recovery intervals. I'm beginning to think my maxHR is lower than it was before...which I guess is natural as I age. However what I find confusing is running just below that effort-i.e. 168 is quite doable for a tempo and even a long run towards the end...but just bump it up over 170 and it's a solid VO2 effort. I used to race in the upper 170's to low 184's...now I can't imagine it....hmmm something to ponder.

First hot day of training. I didn't feel accustommed to the heat, and felt like I really crashed and burned in the last 5km, but it was about 3' faster than last week, so I don't guess I crashed and burned as much as I felt like I did.
HR monitor was going crazy-up to 205 once, on a flat area, and my pace was steady, so I'm sure it was radio interference. It did it often during the run, jump to 177 or so, then drop back to 156.
