Long Run 37:00 [3]

Most eventful run I've had in a long time - I was actually out there for almost double the time I've entered. First there was a motorbike accident about 30s after I'd crossed the road to go into the lake (turned around and an ambulance was already there - it must have been driving along the road), then I saw a teacher from school and her daughter, who is 2nd year med, so asked me lots of questions, then another guy from school, then the two Wanganui running twins from school who've been at some American University on running scholarships, then a friend's parents, then I got asked if I'd seen a little boy who was lost (which I hadn't), then 5 mins later I found him and had to find his parents again, (he was only about 3 so it was pretty slow). Crazy what happens when you run in a place where you know everybody!

Bike 1:45:00 [3]

Bike up the river road, past Mosquito Point to where the gravel starts and back. Fingers warm the whole way in my new gloves:)

Bike 36:00 [3]

Shorter ride out allong the main road north to the BP, to Westmere School, back along Tayforth Rd then right onto Mosston Rd, left into Fox Rd and weaved back through Springvale. Took several hours to warm up afterwards, and fingers were the worst, so I finally caved and bought some full length cycling gloves (and also a second pair of cycling shorts, since they were having a sale and I can't justify doing my washing that often...).

Bike 1:06:00 [3]

Okoia ride again - not as much of a tail wind going out this time, which meant not as much of a head wind coming back, which was nice.

Bike 1:20:00 [3]

Up the river again, but had to go past the bike shop because someone stole the plugs off the ends of my handlebars! Seriously, why would you do that? I can't quite figure out when it happened, but I'm guessing when we stopped for about two minutes on the way home from Wellington, although I thought I would have noticed in the last few days if they weren't there. Luckily the bike shop guy just gave me some new (well, new to me...) ones.

Exercises 8:00 [3]

3x 10 each side for glut/ab/quad exercise.

Bike 1:07:00 [3]

Out past Okoia and up the hill, massive headwind into the back of Durie Hill and home again. Felt good and pushed hard on the long straights. Arms were frozen by the time I got back. New wrsit brace is defiately better than the one I used today for biking, as my arm can actually be in a semi-normal position and take some weight.

Bike 1:12:00 [3]

Up the river past Mosquito Point and back. Always seem to have a headwind in both directions on the ride and I can't figure out why!

Exercises 15:00 [3]

Glut/ab/quad exercise 3x 10 each side plus 3x 10 each side lateral rotaters.
