hiking 45:00 [2]
I left my last activity period open (did not want to try high ropes) so I drove to the other side of the camp to hike around and check it out. (The camp is 600 acres and has two distinct sections, really almost like 2 separate camps. It is possible to walk between them but would have taken more time than I had before dinner, and also I wasn't totally sure of the way.) They have a cool old house called Bell Manor (supposedly haunted), their stables which I of course had to check out, and a few more camping units. I also found the other end of the hiking trail we had attempted earlier. I did not check to see if this part was any better.
After I went back I took a brief nap. Then we had more arts and crafts (tin punch), dinner, a Scout's Own ceremony using the tin punch lanterns, and another campfire. The fire tonight was conveniently in the unit where I was staying, but this also meant people were outside talking until almost 2 AM so I didn't get so much sleep.
