shoveling (snow) 45:00 [3]

Snow dealings, round 10a: Nancy's driveway again. Wait, what? I knew it was going to snow on Sunday, but I missed the Friday night part. Gotta do what I gotta do, about 3" of fluffy stuff.

Note

Snow dealings, round 10b: my driveway. Nancy dropped me off and I told her it would only take me 5 minutes. She gave me 7, and I put the snowblower away before she got back, and she was waiting in the garage when I came out of the house with some stuff we had gone there to pick up.

shoveling (snow) 30:00 [1]

Snow dealings, round 9c: Mom's roof. Not exactly shoveling, but... a year or two ago, Ernst bought a Minnesnowta Roof Razor, and reported in his log that it worked well. I bought one a few months ago, and this was my first chance to try it out. Time is estimated, but I cleared her entire roof down to a residual depth of probably about an inch, no problem, just a little aerobic work doing the back and forth to operate it. Quite fine.

Lane Property, with Nancy, distance and climb estimated from previous GPS tracks because we both forgot our watches. From the Holman St. parking, we took the waterline trail to the creekside loop, back up to the main trail from the bridge, and went up the trail toward Gilchrest as far as the top of the hill, then back to the car on the waterline trail. I wore the larger snowshoes, and there was a little breaking trail, but most of this had seen other snowshoers during the day. Finished up as it was getting just dark enough to turn on a headlamp.
