Reasonably pleased with a good effort level. I don’t think the route is the very fastest but on the flat (actually slightly net uphill) straight segment I was very consistently on 18:15 pace.

although the mud has dried out a little and is more sticky than slippy, both new sets of trainers were a big improvement on the saucony ones. strange that I had a big blind spot for decent muddy conditions trainers for such a long time.
