Swim 42:00 [3] 2.2 km (19:05 / km)

Wet suit swim in the pool. First time this season in a wetsuit but not nice enough to be outside today. Sure felt like i was floating on top of the water. Get the same 'ol chafing issue on my neck. My hair gets caught and the velcro rubs my neck. It is annoying. Not sure how to fix this. But will not buy another wetsuit just for this reason.

Road Biking 1:15:00 [3] 31.7 km (2:22 / km)

Ride at LBP - 15 out and way on airport way. Was supposed to be a brick into 60 km bike but it rained and it was miserable and so Mardi and I pulled the plug early.

Mtn Biking 5:30:00 [3]

5 slow laps on Salty Dog Course. Interesting first mtn bike race for me. Not sure I love the lap type style. The first lap was pretty slow. I started right near the back to force myself to go slow. Huge bottleneck quickly once we got into the single track and so I walked a fair bit initially. Second lap was mentally the worst. Got past by likely 60-70 riders. And it seemed like it was all in the single track. Kept pulling my bike off to the side. Felt like i couldn't get the flow going. Ginny then gave me a pep talk and convinced me not to pull over, to make then go around. So empowered , I headed out on the lap 3. The first half of the loop I felt off, not thinking as clearly. I sucked back a lot of fluid and felt human by the time I reached the top. Ran out of water on lap 4 early on which was a mistake. Mean't to pick up another bladder after lap 3. Finished that lap and decided to call it quits. Ginny and Mike convinced me to drink my coke and eat my oreos and take 10 mins and then do one more lap. I wasn't too convinced at first but after 10 mins I felt much improved and heading out for a last painful lap. Overall feeling tired but satisfied to be in one piece. Can't understand how Bart can blast around the trail like he can and still walk and consider doing another ride tomorrow. Left hammies a bit sore, hopefully it doesn't turn into an issue!
